MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OUTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON WEDNESDAY 3rd MARCH  2024 AT 7.30 PM IN THE CHURCH ROOM, WASP GREEN LANE, OUTWOOD

PUBLIC QUESTIONS

PUBLIC QUESTIONS

It was mentioned that the sign outside the Brightleigh Farm Shop at the junction of Rookery Hill and Millers Lane was impeding sight lines.

04/00734              MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING 

    1. To approve the Minutes of the meeting held on 6th March 2024. The minutes of the meeting had been circulated in advance and proposed for acceptance by Cllr. Malley.  This was seconded by Cllr Baldock and the Minutes were signed as a true record.
    2. Matters Arising - not covered elsewhere on the agenda. – None

04/00740              COMMUNITY MATTERS

    1. First Aid Courses – A community-based trainer had offered to do the training for a cost of £199.  The clerk was instructed to seek further information on qualifications etc.
    2. National Trust – The Clerk was asked to provide a letter of support as previously agreed for National Trust volunteer work to extend the network of hard footpaths through the woods on Outwood Comon
    3. Emergency Planning – Cllrs. Howard and Devlin were in the process of finalising this document.
    4. Finger Post –  A quote had been received for the replacement of a finger post on Outwood Common.  It was proposed by Cllr Howard that a figure of £2,000 be approved for this expenditure.  This was seconded by Cllr. Malley.SO RESOLVED

In the meantime it was AGREED that the Clerk seek a grant from County Cllr. C Smith and the Your Fund Surrey -Small Community Projects Fund.

04/00741              ANNUAL VILLAGE MEETING

The Clerk was asked to purchase refreshments for this.  The presentation by Emma Amies on Neighbourhood Planning had been received and would be shown.

04/00742              FINANCE

    1. To consider grant to Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance Charity -Cllr Howard proposed a grant of £350.  This was seconded by Cllr. de Wiggondene-Sheppard, and        SO RESOLVED
