MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OUTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 8TH MAY 2024 IN LLOYD HALL, BRICKFIELD ROAD, OUTWOOD AT 7.40PM

This meeting followed the Annual Meeting of the Council.

05/00753              COUNTY COUNCILLOR’S REPORT

A Mr Terence Herbert had been appointed as Chief Executive.  Mr Herbert has 25 years’ experience in the sector.  NOTED

05/00754              DISTRICT COUNCILLORS' REPORTS

The local elections had seen Ashleigh Bolton elected as District Councillor for the ward.  Cllr. S Farr will be Chair of the Council for the ensuing Civic Year

Proposal:                     Old Cow Shed- Change of use from agricultural buildings to a flexible commercial use (Sch. 2 Part 3 Class R)

05/00757              COMMUNITY MATTERS

    1. First Aid Courses – This has been arranged for Thursday 20th June starting at 8.00pm in the Lloyd Hall.  Up to 20 people can be accommodated.  The Clerk to publicise this on Social Media and Outwood News.
    2. National Trust – Nothing to report.  A successful community litter pick was held o 1st May
    3. To approve design for fingerpost – A quote in the sum of £1,989 had been received from Fingerpost Signs.  The Clerk to confirm whether this included lettering. Cllr. de Wiggondene-Sheppard proposed that this quote be accepted. This was seconded by Cllr. Devlin and                                                                                                              SO RESOLVED

It was recognised that the lettering might impose an additional cost.  The Clerk to apply to Your Fund Surrey – Small Community Projects Fund for a grant towards this project.
